If I'm a STORM WARRIOR

I remember it was approximately 8 years ago or so, that this film hit the cinemas with storms! I really enjoyed watching it as a kid.. Admiring Aaron Kwok and Ekin Cheng's good looks.. Jealous of the actresses that got to be in the movie.. Wishing that i had super cool powers like them.. Well, these are just mere dreams.. We all know that this is just fiction.. But! A little dreaming won't hurt right?

Now, Storm Warriors are about to hit the cinemas with a storm, again, with their sequel Storm Warriors 2! I really can't wait to watch this movie right after my exams! I can then continue my fantasizing which I had stopped 8 years ago =) Speaking of fantasizing, what if I'm a storm warrior myself? I've never thought about this when i was watching it years ago.. Was drooling over the Actors.. Teehee..

So If I'm a STORM WARRIOR, i would look like this:

This would be a mix of the modern world and the old days.. Cool huh? I have a sword hung around my back.. I have a mask to hide my identity.. Cool accessories which is a must for girls.. Yup, this is how i'd look if i'm a storm warrior! Who says girls can't be warriors? There are great examples of women warriors whether from history or games or anime such as Mulan, Chun Li, Kasumi, Yuna and more! They're not only beautiful but talented..

Requirements to be a storm warrior:
Outer beauty - check
Gadgets - check
Outfit - check
Inner beauty - check
Great personality - check
Powers/Talents - check

Cool! I'm ready to be a storm warrior! With me around, have no fear! I shall fight crimes and the forces of evil! And i have a hunch that 2012 won't happen as long as i'm alive *wink*

A little treat i'd like to share with my readers:
To celebrate the coming of the movie, GSC-EON Bank Credit Card had prepared some really cool contests for everyone! Just head on to GSC-EON Bank contest minisite at http://www.gsc-eonbankcard.com/ now and you'll get a chance to win cool prizes!

p/s I know i'm a bit old to be fantasizing about powers and warriors and stuffs but pls do bear with me as this is one of the pre-exam symptoms i'm having.. =)

8 Fat Fighting Foods

Came across this article and would really like to share this with everyone of you out there.. Especially the girls! *wink*

As the title read, 8 fat fighting foods that do the work for you! These edibles have proven lipid-melting powers that help you slim!

Almonds
Almond joy! Dieters who ate 3 ounces of these nuts every day reduced their weight and body-mass index by a solid 18 percent compared with an 11 percent drop in the no-nut group, a study in the International Journal of Obesity found. Almonds are high in alpha-linolenic acid, which can speed the metabolism of fats. Stick to 12 per serving.

Berries
Vitamin C–loaded fruit such as strawberries and raspberries can help you sizzle up to 30 percent more fat during exercise, suggests research from Arizona State University at Mesa. Blend a vinaigrette of 1 cup berries and ¼ cup balsamic vinegar.

Cinnamon
This spice could make your waistline nice. Sprinkling ¼ teaspoon on your food may prevent a postmeal insulin spike—this increase normally occurs after you eat and “signals the body that it should store fat rather than burn it,” explains Lauren Slayton, R.D., of New York City. Add a dash to your oatmeal, yogurt or coffee.

Mustard
Hello, yellow. The spice that gives mustard its color, turmeric, may slow the growth of fat tissues, a study in the journal Endocrinology notes. Eighty-six mayo in favor of any mustard; sprinkle turmeric on cauliflower and roast for a tangy side.

Oranges
Prevent pound creep with this citrus star: It contains fat-torching compounds called flavones. Women who ate the most flavones had a significantly lower increase in body fat over a 14-year period, a study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition finds. Snack on slices or drink freshly squeezed OJ (with pulp!) for the biggest payback.

Soybeans
These green gems are rich in choline, a compound that blocks fat absorption and breaks down fatty deposits. Add ½ cup edamame to a salad.

Sweet potatoes
Trade up to sweet taters. They’re high in fiber, which means no drastic insulin jumps and thus less fat packed onto your hips. Bake a small sweet potato—think of two bars of soap as a portion size—and top with a dollop of lowfat or nonfat cottage cheese.

Swiss cheese
Holy cow: “Calcium-rich foods reduce fat-producing enzymes and increase fat breakdown,” says Michael B. Zemel, Ph.D., director of the Nutrition Institute at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Put toe to toe with some of its cheesy counterparts, Swiss is a heavy hitter in the calcium department; layer a slice on a lunchtime sandwich, or stack some on high-fiber crackers.

Well, i'm not sure if these really works in helping us fight fat and slim down but no harm trying since these foods are actually good for our health..

I shall update you guys if i really did fight fat and slim down aite?

Shall go for some food hunt this weekend..

Wish me luck! =)

A Christmas Carol (3D)

Walt Disney Pictures present A Christmas Carol in 3D this coming 19th November!

“DISNEY’S A CHRISTMAS CAROL,” a multi-sensory thrill ride re-envisioned by Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, captures the fantastical essence of the classic Dickens tale in a groundbreaking 3D motion picture event.

Ebenezer Scrooge (JIM CARREY) begins the Christmas holiday with his usual miserly contempt, barking at his faithful clerk (GARY OLDMAN) and his cheery nephew (COLIN FIRTH). Scrooge later encounters the ghost of his dead business partner Joseph Marley, who’s paying the price in the afterlife for his own callousness. Marley hopes to help Scrooge avoid a similar fate and tells him that he will be visited by three spirits. But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take Old Scrooge on an eye-opening journey revealing truths he’s reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it’s too late.

Guilt free

Went AEON Starbucks for study session this morning..
Used freaking 3+ hours to study one chapter of my business studies..
Tried to cramp everything into my head..
Fortunately, i did it =)
But i'm sure i'm gonna forget what i studied soon..
Nevertheless, it'll be easier when i study again during eve of that paper..
After studying, went for a movie called "The Time Traveller's Wife"..
It's a very touching movie..
And in a way, romantic as well..
A must watch!!
During the movie, there's this malay couple siting behind me and my friend..
They're talking non-stop from the beginning of the movie!!
I was pissed of course..
Gave them a mean look and shoosh-ed them..
They kept quiet for a moment, and i mean a moment only..
Then they continued again..
Wanna talk then go outside talk la, right?
You paid rm7 just to talk in the cinema!
What a waste of money..
Not to mention, very disturbing, irritating and inconsiderate as well!
Well, i did show my disgust towards them..
Saying out loud: Stupid fellers talking non stop in the cinema dunno for what?!
I'm just afraid i didn't say loud enough for them to hear =)
The uncle sitting beside me couldn't tahan any longer and said: Boleh diam ah??!!
Then only they really kept quiet..
Ughh..
Well, that's basically my day today..
Studied and relaxed..
Guilt free =D

Pek Chek

There's like SOOO many cool contests with cool prizes all around me and yet i couldn't join most of them..

Such as one KFC contest that requires us to purchase one KFC breakfast meal and get a photo of you with it shot. And you can't take multiple shots from different angles. It has to be different for each photo you submit. The more photo, the higher the points, the bigger the chances of you winning. Participants would also have to keep the receipt as proof of purchase. Weekly prizes are an iphone, while the grand prize is a MacBook. Tempting, yet not that worth it. Imagine all the cash spent on breakfast meal at KFC and you're not even sure if you'd win!

Then there are those movie premiere tickets+prizes from movies from nuffnang recently. I REALLY want them, badly. But the dates of the premieres are during my exam. No point joining when i can't even go! The latest one is tickets to New Moon's premiere!!!!!! Ugh.................

Pek chek betul : /

p/s on the bright side, i won a free DiGi broadband modem and free 3 months subscription to DiGi broadband from the DiGi pimp my broadband contest that i had joined previously =)
