Disappointment

Ahh.. Monday blues..

Yes, I was very much happy and excited and nervous yesterday. I really didn't expect today to be so blue. If you don't know what i'me talking about, pls scroll down to the post below.

Anyways, I've forfeited the chance to go for the interview for the internship at Nuffnang. Some friends who were up late at night yesterday wouldn've known how nervous and excited i was. Preparing cv, file up my certs, killing brain cells on what to wear, wondering what would happen and etc.

But it turns out that all the fuss and nervousness and preparations ends up in disappointment. Why you ask?

Well, long cut short, discouragement from parents, transport issues, costs and everything else common that you can think of.

However, thanks to EVERYONE who took their time to read my post yesterday through innit, giving me ideas, advices and cheering for me. Thanks a lot. XOXO to you guys.

Interview at Nuffnang

I'm going for an interview for internship at Nuffnang company tomorrow! Yayness~

Although my parents was quite supportive and at the same time discouraging me because of the fact that it's too far, transportation problems and cost.

However, I'm very much persistent with my decision to go for that interview because I think that somehow this internship would be very much useful to me in the future as I'll be furthering my studies in Mass Comm majoring in either broadcasting or public relations and I'd be able to gain an insight on how things work in this field that I might be heading in the future. And it seriously doesn't hurt to gain a few experiences in different fields. Who knows I might have the chance to tell employers out there that I've had an internship at Nuffnang before?!

Anyways, wish me all the best of luck for tomorrow's interview aite?

Oh and pls do leave some comments below on some do's and dont's, advice and etc.

Cleaning Spree

Chinese New Year is just around the clock.. Tik Tok Tik Tok.. 12 more days to go..

I'm currently cleaning up my room and as usual, i'll find lots of junk to be thrown away or some unwanted stuffs to be given away or some stuffs to be kept in the store room..

I haven't finish cleaning up my room.. It takes time as i wanted to organize my stuffs a lil more.. For example, books and CDs goes to the cupboard, make up and accessories on the table, some magazines on the table and under the table and etc..

My organization skills sucks to the max and thank god i'd be able to cash out my salary this week, so i'll be going on a lil shopping spree to shop for some organizational stuffs and some stuffs to pamper myself..

While i'm typing this, i'm still in the middle of organizing my stuffs in my room..

No need to remind me to get back to my room, i'm gonna get back to work now..

FYI, today's my off day (cuti ganti Thaipusam).. Nice ehh? =p

New Layout

Basically, i just changed the theme to black and the fonts to colors that strikes. Oh and i also changed the blog pic! Ain't it beautiful? Well, as i've said earlier in my previous blog post regarding Blackle and how black screen saves energy, i thought that i should do my part as well. It might be something little but hey, at least it does help. =) Hope you guys will like the new layout. Comments are very much appreciated. Would do some changes here and there if i find your advice or comments useful.

At Work

This is the reason why i've been SOO lazy in updating my blog. I've been working since last week and it'll be my 3rd week starting tomorrow. I'm currently working at a pet shop called Ramsden's Pet Mart at Bukit Tinggi 1. It's not a typical 9 to 5 work which i'm quite thankful about. I work from 10.30am till 9.30pm with 2days off every week. Nice right?! And, i do sales as well. Which means i'd get to talk and interact more with people. Very much helpful to me in the future. Here's a little sneak peak of me at work.

 

 

 

 

 

These puppies are all for sale! There's 3 shih tzu, 2 chi hua hua, 3 poodle, 2 golden retriever, pug, american cocker spaniel, beagle, pomeranian, hamsters and guinea pigs as well. Blackle

Blackle is a website powered by Google Custom Search, which aims to save energy by displaying a black background and using grayish-white font color for search results.

The concept behind Blackle is that computer monitors can be made to consume less energy by displaying much darker colors. Blackle is based on a study which tested a variety of CRT and LCD monitors. There is dispute over whether there really are any energy saving effects.

This concept was first brought to the attention of Heap Media by a blog post, which estimated that Google could save 750.0 megawatt-hours a year by utilizing it for CRT screens. The homepage of Blackle provides a count of the number of megawatt-hours that have been saved by enabling this concept.

Darren Yates, a technology journalist who reviews computer hardware, tested 4 CRT monitors and 23 LCD monitors, and found that the CRT monitors did use more energy displaying a white screen, but less than the calculations made by the blog post that inspired Blackle. The LCD monitors tested showed slightly less power use displaying a white screen in the majority of cases , although most of the larger (24-inch) monitors did use slightly less power displaying a black screen.

So people, what are you waiting for?! Make Blackle your homepage or default search engine instead of Google. It's still the same! The only difference is that it's black in color and much more cooler. Plus it's energy saving!

New Year's Eve

Okay, forgive me very very much for this late post! Am just a tad bit lazy to blog nowadays. Anyways, i just had a very simple and nice New Year's Eve celebration with my family and relatives where we had BBQ for dinner and a little sparkling juice and wine to toast. This post would mostly consist of pictures only, so just let the pictures do the talking. ** Extreme vanity alert.
